Academic, professional, and teaching background

A track record of success


Anthony studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford University. He has been President of the largest political organisation at Oxford, Treasurer and frequent contributor within the Canning Club, Standing Committee member for the Oxford Union, and representative on the Philosophy Joint Consultative Committee. He is currently studying for a PhD and DBA, whose dissertation focuses upon Margaret Thatcher’s leadership, and he has been a regular contributor to institutions such as The Freedom Association and Conservative Home, as well as Czech academic journals.


In a professional capacity, Anthony was a Director at CTPartners, DHR International, and Redgrave Partners in London, where he managed large teams, c-level client relationships, executive mandates, technology change, and knowledge management. He successfully led and implemented significant change and training across international offices, and coached, built, and led research functions.

He was also elected in a perceived-to-be ‘unwinnable’ seat in Bedford Borough Council, overturning the incumbent elected official with a vote that was 60% higher than had been the case for his party’s candidate at the previous election. Following this result, he consulted election teams in the UK, advising them on how to win, and brought about lasting, positive changes to the community that had elected him.


During his teaching career, Anthony has secured outstanding results and has been recognised for achieving excellent progress among students of varying abilities. On achieving qualified teacher status, he was officially recognised as an ‘outstanding’ teacher, and has taught many subjects, including History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Government & Politics, Geography, Sociology, Economics, Business Studies, and Mathetmatics. His classes have consistently and significantly outperformed their ‘target grades’, including by as much as 5 levels (out of 9), with an average of +1.63% to ALPS. Via an engaging style, mutual establishment of expectations, strong subject knowledge, and effective differentiation, Anthony loves squeezing 100% answers out of naturally high attainers but, equally, he relishes the chance to see a child really excel for the first time in their lives, lit up with fresh energy for study.

Anthony treats the prospect of pupils’ success or failure personally, and so puts everything into ensuring that pupils of all abilities outshine expectations.
